Vinyl-terminated Polydimethylsiloxane (Vi-PDMS)
CAS: 68083-18-1Vinyl Silicone Oil (Vi-PDMS) is a vinyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane with both ends capped by vinyl groups. Available in viscosities ranging from 100 to 100,000 mm²/s, it serves as the essential base polymer and crosslinker for addition cure (platinum-catalyzed) silicone rubber systems. It is also widely used in silicone sealants, waterproofing coatings, and polymer modification applications where thermal stability and flexibility are required.
