Crosslinker for Acetoxy RTV-1 Silicone Sealant
RTV-1 / Acetoxy CureD-15 (Ethyltriacetoxy-silane, ETAS) is the essential crosslinker for acetoxy-cure (deacetic acid) RTV-1 silicone sealant. Upon exposure to atmospheric moisture it hydrolyzes and condenses, releasing acetic acid and forming a flexible, weather-resistant Si-O-Si network. It delivers fast skin-over, strong adhesion to glass, ceramics, metal and most building substrates, and is widely used in glass glazing, sanitary ware, general-purpose and weatherproofing sealants.
