HMDSO (Hexamethyldisiloxane, also called MM) is a primary siloxane compound produced by dechlorination and condensation of trimethylchlorosilane. It is mainly used as a blocking (end-capping) agent, cleaning agent and release agent, and as a raw material for silazane synthesis. Widely applied in silicone rubber, medicine, gas chromatographic fixative, analytical reagents and water-repellent treatment.
